Aachen (not pronounced like Awe-ken, as in awe-chicken, but aw-hin). Pronounce it like this guy. All photographs are posted to this blog without the option to see them in full-size, full-resolution, so I will posted the photo above differently so that you can see it in full-size. I ‘stitched’ together five photographs using a neat little function on my camera to give you a panoramic view of Aachen’s city center. ————————————————————————————————————- And a brief background on why I traveled to Aachen: Aachen is widely known as a historic spa city, but that is not why I traveled here. I came here to see the Aachen Cathedral, built on the orders of Charlemagne in 786 AD. Yea, that is it. Just to see this building.
